Tennantite coated by Chalcocite - $950
A whopper of a Tennantite crystal from
any locality to be sure.
This big and hefty specimen is a complete, euhedral
tetrahedron with excellent form and for an added
touch, the crystal is coated by grayish Chalcocite in unusual
“thread-like” parallel growths.
Locality:
Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 9.3 x 7.2 x 7.0 cm.

Cuprite - $200 (SOLD)
This is a very nice representative Cuprite specimen from
Tsumeb. It is comprised of hundreds of octahedra and/or
modified octahedra with sharp faces and a rich blood red
color when backlit. They are associated with white Dolomite
for a lovely color contrast.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 9.1 x 6.2 x 2.3 cm.

Cuprite with Mimetite - $900
The best Cuprite specimen in this update featuring dozens
upon dozens of sharp, rather lustrous, gemmy, rich blood
red color octahedrons (some have dodecahedral and cubic
modifications), intermixed with a gossan matrix. A great
touch to this specimen is the fact that there are a few
associated yellow prismatic Mimetite crystals. Most of the
Cuprite crystals are pristine, but this again is another
difficult piece to photograph, and truly looks better in
person.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 6.8 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm.
Largest Cuprite: 1.1 cm.

Cuprite - $750
This is a very nice representative Cuprite specimen from
Tsumeb. It is comprised of hundreds of small octahedra and/or
modified octahedra with sharp faces and a rich blood red
color when backlit. Virtually all of the crystals are pristine
with a great coverage on matrix.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 7.5 x 6.7 x 3.8 cm.

Copper with wire Silver - $1250
This piece is a rather large and hefty Native Copper display
specimen comprised of hundreds of lustrous, rounded dodecahedral
crystals forming dendritic “branches” with a bluish oxidized
patina in areas. Upon further investigation, one will find
that there are small yet distinct wires of NATIVE SILVER
on the reverse side of the specimen! These two native elements
formed on/around crystallized and massive white Dolomite
for a nice color contrast. Considering the relative rarity
of Native Silver at Tsumeb, this is a significant specimen.
Although this is not a unique association, it is still the
first specimen I have ever encountered from this mine with
both Native Copper and Silver together on the same piece.
One of the most interesting native element association specimens
that I have seen from this storied locality.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 15.8 x 15.7 x 6.8 cm.

Enargite - $150
A less commonly seen Enargite specimen featuring relatively
sharp, grayish-black orthorhombic crystals. The crystals
appear to be growing on top of micro Pyrite matrix.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 3.5 x 3.4 x 1.5 cm.
Largest Enargite: 5.0 mm.

Galena - $250
For one of the more common sulfides worldwide, Galena was
not seen in great quantity from Tsumeb. I have only seen
a handful of decent Galena specimens in my life from this
mine!
This piece features one predominant silvery-grey colored
cuboctahedron of Galena sitting atop cleaved Galena crystal
matrix. Not a killer miniature, but a good reference specimen
of this infrequently seen sulfide.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 4.7 x 4.2 x 1.7 cm.
Largest Galena: 1.3 cm. across

Germanite - $300 (RESERVED)
A very nice Germanite sample with blocky form and bluish-purple
iridescence. This is one of the few larger sized Germanites
that I have had which wasn’t a polished slab or an ore section
with Germanite zones in between other minerals, but actually
a pure Germanite specimen.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 5.5 x 4.4 x 3.3 cm.
