Willemite - $650
A beautiful two-sided display specimen consisting
of lively blue-green blocky and spherical crystal aggregates
of Willemite with a “wet” luster and great gemminess which are
associated with rhombic white Dolomite crystals on matrix.
It is relatively rare to find actual crystals of Willemite
from Tsumeb, especially as gemmy as these.
The specimen is associated with darker reddish-brown
“Troostite” aggregates as well.
A lot of color and a great size specimen for the money.
Locality:
Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 10.8
x 9.0 x 7.5 cm.

Aragonite with Malachite - $300
(SOLD)
Columns of sharp, sparkling, light yellow
Aragonite crystals play host to small velvety forest-green
botryoidal and dendritic Malachite (possibly
pseudomorphing after Copper).
I think it’s a lovely association specimen with a
pleasing color combination.
Locality:
Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 11.5 x 7.5 x 5.1 cm.

Duftite on Calcite - $1250
A true Tsumeb classic !
Duftite on/in Calcite is probably one of my favorite
combinations from this amazing locality.
This piece is a very attractive display piece featuring
several good sized, white rhombohedra of Calcite which have
a selective deposition of bright and dull green color Duftite.
The piece is not 100% damage free, but still displays
very well from BOTH sides giving the owner the choice of
showing the side that is covered by mostly Duftite or the
side with very little Duftite showing.
Locality:
Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 9.0 x 6.2 x 5.1 cm.
Largest Calcite
Rhombohedron:
3.1 cm.

Cerussite (reticulated “snowflake”) -
$1800 (SOLD)
It doesn’t get any more classic than this
from Tsumeb.
Reticulated Cerussite specimens are best known from
this mine, and for good reason.
It’s amazing to think how one of the most dense gem
minerals on the planet occurs in some of the most delicate
and complex formations.
This specimen is a complete and rather hefty crystallized
“snowflake” that grew in multi-tiered criss-cross layers
with little “arms” flaring out between the larger ones.
The piece is in great shape overall, and truly looks
to me like it was assembled rather than growing naturally
in this form.
These specimens are commanding record numbers across
the board, and I think this one is very fairly priced compared
to specimens I recently viewed in Munich. This
is the only reticulated Cerussite in the update, so do not
miss out on it.

Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

10.1 x 5.5 x 4.3 cm.

on the base of the piece as well.

Rosasite on Willemite - $450
This specimen is comprised of lovely blue-green color spherical
Rosasite aggregates, some of which are actually “rosettes”
which are sitting atop lustrous, gemmy bluish-grey colored
Willemite matrix. A very nice example of this rare,
pretty and colorful
combination.

Cerussite on Malachite - $125
(SOLD)
Small delicate crystal “sprays” of rich minty green color
Malachite play host to sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless
Cerussite crystals. This is a very fine-looking full-size
miniature, and even more attractive when viewed with a loupe.

Duftite on Calcite - $750 (SOLD)
Certainly one of the most recognizable and attractive associations
from Tsumeb is the eye-catching Calcite and Duftite specimens.
These pieces are staples of any good Tsumeb collection.
This mound of white Calcite rhombohedra has a dusting of
light green Duftite creating a wonderful two-tone effect.
One side of the piece is nearly completely covered with
Duftite, but the other side was left untouched showing.
Locality: Tsumeb mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Specimen Size: 6.0 x 4.8 x 4.0 cm.
Largest Calcite Rhomb: 1.5 cm.
