WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 4.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm (miniature)

Two small (3 mm. each), but very gemmy, bright orange crystals sit in a small Calcite/Limonite pocket. The price of the specimen is reflectd in the crystal size. This is still a nice piece for perhaps a mircomounter or somebody interested in having some gemmy crystals from the Red Cloud without having to pay very much.

WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 3 x 2.5 x 2 cm (thumbnail)

An extremely aesthetic, small miniature specimen with great orange color and superb luster. The large crystal is a composite crystal growing on top of a "stop sign"-shaped crystal (see upper right photo). A really really great piece ! (Crystal size: 2.3 cm.)

WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 3.5 x 2.3 x 0.3 cm (miniature)

A fantastic specimen which consists of a few intergrown, flat, tabular, sharp, lustrous, gem/gemmy crystals with a slight Limonite dusting. One of crystals is strangely much gemmier than the others. The specimen is undamaged and is nearly a "floater".

WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 2 x 1.8 x 0.5 cm (thumbnail)

Another of the choice "thumbnails" in the lot. The crystals are very fine quality, with exceptionally good color and luster. A small amount of Limonite matrix is a nice touch too.

WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 3 x 2 x 0.3 cm (thumbnail)

A miniature that really has a lot going for it with a gemmy, sharp, bright orange, highly lustrous crystal that is flaring off matrix. On the lower part of the specimen is another flat tabular crystal which is a nice addition. (Crystal size: 1.4 cm.)

No. LPWULFRC10 - $ 1000.00

WULFENITE

Locality: 150 Level, Red Cloud mine, Trigo Mountains, La Paz County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 cm. (miniature)
Crystal size: 1.6 cm.

This is one of my personal favorites. The main crystal has a great, rich, dark orange color due to its unusual thickness. There are some smaller dark, sharp crystals underneath the main crystal as well. Along with great luster, sharpness, exceptoinal crystal form and aesthetics that make the piece very attractive, there is a significant amount of micro crystalline Wulfenite on the back of the specimen, of which I took a micro photograph (lowest photo). It's a wonderful piece to view as well as to display.
