A lovely old time specimen from Crystal Peak featuring a sharp, well-formed, 3.0 cm bright blue-green color prismatic Amazonite crystal aesthetically sitting atop a matrix of white Feldspar matrix. There are a couple secondary Amazonites on the piece, which are contacted, but the main Amazonite is in fine shape. From the collection of Willard W. Wulff (specimen #372). Wulff (1904-1998) lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website.
