Franckeite is one of the rarest sulfosalts in the world. The San Jose mine produces the finest crystallized example of Franckeite in the world. The following specimens were mined in the early 1980s, and were imported by Richard Kosnar when we was very active in Bolivia. Please note that all of the following specimens are reference pieces of this triclinic lead, tin, iron, antimony sulfosalt consisting of somewhat "sword"-shaped crystals oriented into spherical aggregates. This is a good opportunity to acquire something that is rarely offered in the open market for a great price, whether you are a species collector, or might want pieces for study purposes. Franckeite belongs to the only group of minerals that forms in naturally "round" or "cylindrical" shaped crystals.
