No. Mal 90 Bs
MALACHITE pseudomorph after Azurite on matrix - $1,200

A fine, sharp, highly aesthetic crystal group on matrix. A great old piece from this classic, well-known, U. S. locality.

This paragraph is from Vol 12, No. 5 of the Mineralogical Record which is the "Bisbee Issue"

"Campbell shaft, Regular claim, 3,332 feet in depth, sinking started in 1927. Developed by the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company, it was named for Gordon R. Campbell, an early investor in the company. The original purpose of this shaft was to serve as a ventilation opening in the mining of the ores, east of the Junction shaft. This all changed when in 1929 the magnificent Campbell orebody was discovered; it was the largest mass of ore ever found in the district, containing well over a million tons. Stretching from above the 1600' level to below the 2200' level, this orebody helped make the Campbell the most productive mine in the district. Also, this is the only mine that operated without interruption. The deepest mine in Bisbee, it produced vast amounts of lead and zinc, in addition to copper."

Locality: Campbell shaft, Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 4.3 x 4 x 2 cm. (Largest Crystal: 3 cm. long)

No. Mal Campbell 2
MALACHITE pseudomorph after Azurite - $750

A fine, sharp, crystal group. It has truly great aesthetics and only one small point of contact where it detached from the wall of the pocket. A great old piece from this classic, well-known, U. S. locality, and a great "thumbnail" size specimen.

This paragraph is from Vol 12, No. 5 of the Mineralogical Record which is the "Bisbee Issue"

No. RK 43
AZURITE with Malachite "snail" - $450

This piece is totally unique !! It first of all has a great isolated, sharp, aesthetic, lustrous Azurite "rosette" perched on a matrix of Limonite with minor Malachite, but as you flip the specimen over a velvety Malachite "snail" can be found slithering across the Limonite !! Some of you might remember a dealer who had a picture of a Rhodochrosite "snail" in their advertisement. Well this is my version of the snail, just without his shell.

Locality: Copper Queen mine, Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona

Specimen Size: 6 x 4.5 x 2 cm. ("Snail" Size: 2 cm. across)
