DYSCRASITE
on Calcite -
$4,500
Despite what you might think at first glance, Dyscrasite
is NOT a sulfide. It's actually AgSb (Silver Antimonide).
For those of you who know what really good Dyscrasite
crystals look like, this one blows them all away. This is
the best crystal of Dyscrasite I've ever seen in my life. It
is INCREDIBLY large and sharp for the species. It's
from the famous, old, classic Samson mine in
Germany.
I showed this specimen to Charlie Key, who in my
opinion is the most knowledgeable mineral dealer in
the world, and he was shocked to see such an
incredible Dyscrasite. He said it was the probably the
best specimen of the species that he'd seen. For those
of you who are always asking me for "killers",
this one truly falls into this category.
Locality: Samson mine, St. Andreasberg, Harz
Mountains, Germany
Specimen Size: 4 x 3.5 x 3 cm. (Crystal Size: 1.6 cm.)
