One of the most exceptional things I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material in good size stones is red. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone. This collection of stones is a compilation of almost all of the different color combinations that are found in Oregon. Sunstone is one of my favorite gemstones, and is very unique.
