Rubies are one of the most famous gemstones on the planet, and for good reason. Their beautiful and unique red color has made them a highly sought after gemstone for centuries. There are many localities for Rubies in the world, but none so renowned as Burma. The finest quality and greatest quantity of gem grade Rubies are found in the Mogok region in Burma.

IMPORTANT: The U.S. Government has placed an embargo on the import of Rubies and Jade from Burma. The embargo will go into effect beginning September 30, 2008 at which time no new Burmese Rubies and/or Jade will be available for purchase in the United States.  All stones that are/were imported before this new embargo will not be effected.
