Kyanite!!

The name Kyanite derives from the Greek word "Kyanos"
which means blue. Kyanite is also interesting because it
has a directional hardness with 4 on the c-axis, and a 7.5 on
the a-axis and the b-axis. These are some of the finest
Kyanite gemstones I have ever acquired. The deep sapphire
blue color is stunning, and for Kyanite these stones are very
clean. The color rivals that of the top quality Tanzanite
blue. All of them are from Nepal, which is the best
locality in the world for gem blue Kyanite rough. It is
difficult to get any quantity of fine Kyanite gemstones, because
they tend to have a fair amount of inclusions.
